About the Firm

About Asset Unite

Asset Unite was founded in 2010 by Karen E. Campbell as a confidential, single-principal asset recovery firm. Every claim is researched, prepared, and pursued personally by the founder - from first contact through to final release of funds.

The firm specialises in locating and reclaiming lost financial assets that have gone unrecognised due to corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, demutualisations, international relocations, or outdated account records. Clients include publicly traded corporations, family offices, executors, and private clients across multiple jurisdictions.

Asset Unite combines the analytical precision of a large institutional practice with the confidentiality and personal accountability of a single-principal firm. Every client-facing matter - first contact, claim preparation, communication with State authorities, and release of funds - is handled by the founder personally. Specialist research support operates behind the scenes; clients deal directly with Karen.

Founder

Karen E. Campbell

Since founding Asset Unite in 2010, Karen has personally recovered lost financial assets for publicly traded corporations, family offices, and private clients worldwide.

Clients and counsel often assume Karen is a lawyer. Her grasp of corporate mergers and acquisitions, demutualisation share structures, and the legal and accounting frameworks that govern unclaimed property reflects her earlier career as the founder of a UK recruitment firm specialising in the legal and accountancy professions.

She is a serial entrepreneur. Before Asset Unite, Karen built and sold a luxury corporate gifting business whose clients included P&O Cruises, Emirates Airlines, Volkswagen, the National Lottery, and Scandinavian Airlines, and later established an advertising and corporate gifting company in the United States after relocating from the UK in 2003. She was recognised as one of the United Kingdom's leading young entrepreneurs as runner-up in Yorkshire Television's Enterprise '89 on ITV.

Asset Unite began with a question - what actually happens to dormant accounts and unclaimed assets? Karen's curiosity became research, research became expertise, and expertise became a discipline she now leads personally for every client she takes on. From first contact through to final release, every claim is handled by Karen herself. It is the only way she works.

Karen lives in Osprey, Florida with her husband Paul. Her two daughters - Olivia, a founder and entrepreneur in Manhattan Beach, California, and Lauren, a vice president at a publicly traded company in Jacksonville - are established in their own careers.

What Our Clients Say

For Institutional Clients

Corporate Recovery

Asset Unite advises publicly traded corporations and privately held entities on the recovery of corporate assets that have become disconnected from their owners - typically through mergers, acquisitions, demutualisations, business restructuring, or the dissolution of subsidiary entities. These accounts frequently sit in state custody for years before they are identified.

The firm's work begins where the corporate paper trail ends. Ownership chains are traced through historical SEC filings, demutualisation records, and corporate succession documents to establish entitlement, then the claim is prepared and submitted to the holding authority directly. The process is conducted entirely on a contingency basis and under strict confidentiality.

Every corporate recovery is handled personally by Karen E. Campbell, from initial verification through to final release of funds. Clients communicate only with her.

For Private Clients

Individual Asset Recovery

Asset Unite also represents private clients - executives, founders, professionals, and beneficiaries of significant estates - in the recovery of personal financial assets.

These commonly include vested equity in former employers (particularly where the company has since merged, been acquired, or spun off a division), dividend reinvestment plans, retained shareholdings from past board service, and brokerage accounts held at institutions that have since been consolidated. Inherited securities for executors and surviving beneficiaries are also a regular part of the practice.

Every individual matter is handled personally by Karen E. Campbell, confidentially, and on contingency.

Our Commitment

Privacy Policy

Asset recovery requires absolute confidentiality. Asset Unite requests only the information necessary to establish entitlement and prepare a claim, and never shares, sells, or uses client information for any purpose other than the active engagement.

All records are held on secured, encrypted systems and in a monitored physical environment. Files are retained for the duration of an active claim and for a reasonable period thereafter as required for tax and legal purposes.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Property becomes "lost" when the asset and the original owner become disconnected. Career changes, relocation, mergers and acquisitions are just some examples of how a property may become lost.

Recovering lost or dormant assets can be complex, time-consuming, and often requires navigating outdated records, regulatory hurdles, and fragmented financial systems. Asset Unite brings decades of expertise, global reach, and proprietary research methods to uncover and reclaim what might otherwise remain lost. We streamline the entire process, saving you time, eliminating guesswork, and ensuring rightful recovery with discretion, speed, and accuracy.

Asset Unite operates on a contingency basis, meaning we only get paid when we successfully recover your assets. There are no upfront fees, and our compensation comes directly from the asset holder as a percentage of the recovered amount.

Once we receive all your documentation, the current turnaround times are approximately 4-6 months for cash and 9 months for stocks.

After the initial approval of the claim, the holder of the stocks must then research the stock to see if there have been any stock splits or dividends to be paid back to you; this process takes a considerable amount of time.

You will be paid in US dollars via a warrant or check. Both of these can be deposited into your regular bank account, at which point your bank will convert the funds into your local currency.

Your funds or stocks are held by financial institutions or regulatory bodies that manage unclaimed assets. Through our expertise and advanced research methods, we've already conducted extensive due diligence to ensure that you are the rightful owner of these assets.
